Small Groups

Because faith grows in a circle - and life is better when you are connected in relationship with others.

Small Groups are where our great big church becomes a great small church. It's a place to go to grow in faith, to be known, loved and cared for. We believe that "Faith Grows In A Circle" and we think that small groups are where that can happen for you.

What Are Small Groups?

Small Groups members discuss what God's Word says on a topic, and approach it through the issues and challenges of their daily lives. Members pray for one another, care for one another, and develop friendships with other growing disciples in a safe and supportive place.

What happens in a Small Group?

Groups meet in members’ homes and usually begin with casual conversation then prayer. Groups of approximately 5-10 people meet weekly for 6 weeks during Lent to share their ideas and pose their questions regarding their relationship with God. While prayer/study are an important part of our small groups, they are not Prayer Groups, Bible Study or Adult Ed. classes. Small Groups are the place you connect with other growing disciples in a more relational and personal environment.

Do I need any kind of qualification, is there a fee?

You don't have to be a member of St. Robert’s. Everyone is welcome! We invite you to join a group and invite your friends. No prior knowledge is necessary to participate in the discussion. There are no fees or costs.

What kind of group can I join?

There can Men's groups, Women's groups, teens and groups for Mixed Adults (men, women & couples). Most groups meet weeknights with a number of groups meeting on the weekend or during the day.

How to I become a Small Group host?

We’re excited to see you step into the role of Small Group Host! You’ll need to attend our training session for small group leaders to hear about the vision of our church & what we expect from you.
