SRBHelp: This ministry was established in the wake of Superstorm Sandy. Its mission is to aid disaster survivors in rebuilding their lives, their homes and their faith through donations. Members of the ministry conduct case assessments, evaluate need, match donations and arrange pick-up and delivery of donations through volunteers. For assistance or to volunteer, call: 732-462-7429, ext. 140, or email srbhelp@strobert.cc
The parish hold dinner basket drives during three major holidays (Thanksgiving/Christmas/Easter). Volunteers might assist in organization of food basket donations; researching families in need, and managing and volunteering to pack and deliver baskets the Sunday before holiday. Hot meals are also provided Thanksgiving morning through the generosity of the Court Jester in Freehold which our volunteers pick up and deliver to homes.
Meals Ministry provides support for families in need (birth of child; death of a loved one; hospitalization; sickness) by preparing meals. Meals Ministry also supports Winter Homeless Care Ministry by providing meals in Months of December through March.
We have many volunteer opportunities for those who would like to help serve the poor and disenfranchised in our community. There are volunteer opportunities for families and adults, middle and high schoolers who need service hours, and Confirmation candidates. There are opportunities to fit all schedules—give an hour a year, or an hour a week. Please contact Margie Golden, our Outreach Volunteer Coordinator at: srboutreach@strobert.cc to inquire about programs and projects that are currently available.
Many young people come to us requesting service opportunities for school, Confirmation programs, NHS and other student programs. In order to facilitate this efficiently, and to ensure the proper recognition of the hours volunteered, we ask that you follow the procedure below:
